2013-2014 World Resources Report

The forthcoming 2013-14 World Resources Report responds to the challenge of the great balancing act confronting the world’s agricultural system. In Creating a Sustainable Food Future, we explore a menu of potential solutions that could sustainably close the food gap by 2050.

The report was produced by the World Resources Institute (WRI), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the World Bank and was released at the 3rd Global Conference on Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Security and Climate Change, in Johannesburg, South Africa. The Conference is organized by the governments of the Republic of South Africa, the Netherlands, and in collaboration with other partners, including the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the World Bank and the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS).
