Leaving no one behind through the full implementation of the ‘CRPD’

The employment rate for women with disabilities is 30% lower than for men with disabilities! Women with disabilities face a double discrimination.

This has to end if we are to truly leave no one behind!  The Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities  promotes & protects the rights of persons with disabilities.

Cook Islands’ record on rights of persons with disabilities faces review by UN Committee

The UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) will review Cook Islands on 9 and 10 April in sessions that will be webcast live. Cook Islands is one of the 153 States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and so is required to submit regular reports to the Committee on how it is implementing the Convention.
