Saint Ignatius’ College Visit

On 8 September 2015, 12 students from the Saint Ignatius’ College, Riverview Sydney year 9 Geography class visited UNIC Canberra to learn more about the work of the United Nations as part of their study of Political Geography.

Following a brief introduction on the work of the United Nations Information Centre in Canberra and the UN Department of Public Information students were given an overview of the United Nations system, as well as the role of the Security Council and various Peacekeeping missions around the world. After the presentation a lively questions and answers session followed.
