Virtual Exhibit – Meet the ChangeMakers

The inspiring new exhibit, Investing in the Future: Meet the Change Makers, offers a window into the lives of people working to put climate action at the heart of policy-making, business, and community life. These Change-makers are among the millions of ordinary citizens empowered by climate finance, driving extraordinary change and showing the way to a climate-smarter world.

UN Virtual Exhibit #TheWorldWeWant

Last year, a powerful photo exhibition titled #TheWorldWeWant was launched to mark the 75th anniversary of the United Nations. This year, the exhibit is made available in all six official UN languages.

#TheWorldWeWant virtual exhibit is a special collection of 75 photos curated from more than 50,000 images from over 130 countries and is a creative response to the UN Secretary-General’s call to hear directly from the peoples of the world about their vision for the future. The exhibit features the winning images from #TheWorldWeWant, a photo competition hosted by mobile app Agora in support of UN75.

A selection of photos from the exhibit has also been installed at Expo 2020 in Dubai. More

Exhibit- In Their Hands: Women Taking Ownership of Peace

The inspiring new exhibit In Their Hands: Women Taking Ownership of Peace, profiles 14 women from the Middle East, South America and Africa who have mediated with armed groups, participated in peace talks, advanced political solutions and advocated for women’s rights, alongside the women photographers who captured their stories.

Women play a central role in their communities, and ensuring their full, equal and meaningful participation in peace and political processes is vital. The exhibition is organized by the UN Department of Peace Operations, the UN Department of Political and Peace-building Affairs and UN Women, in partnership with New York City’s iconic Photoville festival. It will remain open to the public until December 1st. Exhibit – Humans in the Climate Crisis

Humans in the Climate Crisis is a powerful exhibit that highlights the lasting impact that climate change has on the planet through the stories of individuals and families from around the world that have been directly affected by this crisis. It invites visitors to recognize that in the race against the climate crisis, no one can be left behind.

Organized by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), in advance of World Humanitarian Day on Thursday, 19 August, and in connection with #TheHumanRace campaign. More

Exhibit – Building on the Legacy of Nelson Mandela

The exhibit highlights Nelson Mandela International Day and celebrates his contributions to the work of the United Nations in peace and security, human rights, and sustainable development. It also illustrates initiatives taken by the UN General Assembly in recognition of the South African leader’s legacy on conflict resolution, reconciliation, gender equality, the rights of children and other vulnerable groups, and the fight against poverty.

Plastic is Forever- Virtual Exhibit

In Images: Plastic is Forever, is a powerful exhibit that raises awareness of the lasting impact that plastic pollution has on the planet. Highlighting photographers from around the world, it showcases how the indiscriminate use of plastic waste is impacting their daily lives and surroundings. The exhibit is drawn from the finalists of the Plastic Waste Partnership photography contest.

The exhibit is organized by the Basel Convention Plastic Waste Partnership, with the support of the Secretariat of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions under the United Nations Environment Programme; the Geneva Environment Network; and the City of Geneva.  View here

Innovation for Sustainable Development- Virtual Exhibit

The stunning new virtual exhibit Innovation for Sustainable Development, organized by the Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea, Office of Legal Affairs (OLA) in connection with World Oceans Day(8 June), highlights the important contribution that innovative approaches in the areas of science, technology, business, art, and partnerships can make towards achieving the effective conservation and sustainable use of oceans, seas, and marine resources.

The images are taken from the 2020 Annual World Oceans Day Photo Competition, focusing on Innovation for Sustainable Development. More
